KAUAI, Hawaii - The Baylor men's golf team wrapped up the fall season with a tie for eighth place in the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational. The Bears shot 2-over-par 290 in Wednesday's final round to finish at 15-under-par 849.
Kyle Jones finished tied for sixth place at 11-under-par after a final round 2-under 70. It was Jones' third top-10 finish in five tournaments during the fall season and his eighth career top-10 finish.
Andreas Gjesteby shot a final round even-par 72 to finish tied for 28th place at 4-under par 212 for the tournament. Niclas Mansson and Jerry Ruiz finished tied for 58th place at 2-over par 218. Ruiz shot a final round of 4-over 76, while Mansson moved up two spots in the standings with a final round even-par 72. Charles Neel White shot 8-over in the final round to finish at 9-over for the tournament.
Jones and Mansson both eagled the fifth hole, and Gjesteby birdied No. 5.
Gjesteby recorded his fourth the top-30 individual finish in five tournaments during the fall season.
Baylor had nine birdies and two eagles in the final round.
Ruiz had three top-15 finishes during the fall season.
Baylor finished in the top half of the field for the fourth time in five fall tournaments - the Bears recorded three top-3 finishes during the fall.

5-under - Baylor's combined score on the eighth and ninth holes in the final round. Ruiz and Gjesteby birdied both holes, and Jones made birdie on No. 8, while Mansson and White made par on both holes.
The Baylor men's golf team has completed the fall season. The Bears open the spring season Feb. 10 at the Oak Hills Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
