LAREDO, Texas - After a solid effort last week, the Baylor men's golf team is in search for its first tournament win of the spring when the Bears participate in the Border Olympics Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March, 14. The 54-hole tournament will be hosted by the University of Houston at the 7,125-yard, par 72 Laredo Country Club.

Senior Bill Allcorn, sophomore Cody Paladino, redshirt freshman Lorenzo Scotto and freshmen Morten Bergan and Joakim Mikkelsen anchor Baylor's five-golfer rotation, while sophomore Austin Berkovsky and junior Peter Fallon will participate as individuals. This weekend marks Berkovsky's first action since participating at the Baylor Intercollegiate in October; the Arkansas transfer finished 56th with a 20-over 233. Fallon, a transfer from McLennan Community College, will make his Baylor debut on Friday.

Allcorn, Paladino and Mikkelsen each posted a seventh-place finish at last week's Ron Smith USF Invitational in Dade City, Fla. The trio finished with a 2-under 214; Allcorn fired a 5-under 67 in the final round, while Mikkelsen carded two sub-par rounds.
