Live Scoring for the Aggie Invitational

BRYAN, Texas - The 29th-ranked Baylor men's golf team will conclude its spring schedule April 21-22 with its final tune-up before postseason play at the Aggie Invitational. It is the fourth consecutive year that Baylor concludes its spring schedule with the Texas A&M event.

The sixth-year event will be played at the par-72, 7,146-yard course at The Traditions Club. The 54-hole tournament will begin Saturday with 36 holes followed by the final 18 holes on Sunday. Seven of the 10 teams in the Aggie Invitational field are rated in the Top 30 by Golfstat. Live scoring for all three rounds will be available at

Eight of Baylor's 10 golfers will compete in the Aggie Invitational, which will count each team's five lowest scores (college tournaments traditional count the four lowest). Head coach Greg Priest has not determined his final lineup.

Joakim Mikkelsen, a 2012 Byron Nelson Award finalist, leads the Bears in every major statistical category, including rounds counted (96.7 percent), scoring average (71.03), score vs. par (-0.67), rounds of par or better (22) and top-10 finishes (seven). Mikkelsen has finished 14th or better in five straight tournaments. Mikkelsen, Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen, Kyle Jones and Lorenzo Scotto have a combined 59 rounds of par or better and 13 top-10 finishes between the four of them.

Baylor has finished fifth or better in eight of its 10 tournaments this season, including three straight top-five performances. Earlier this month, Baylor finished fifth at The Woodlands All-American Intercollegiate in The Woodlands, Texas.

In the 2011 Aggie Invitational, Baylor finished fourth overall (376-377-368=1121, 41-over), its best finish in five appearances. Three Baylor golfers have posted top-10 finishes at the Aggie Invitational - Jeremy Alcorn (6th, 2005), Ryan Baca (2nd, 2006) and Mikkelsen (t6th, 2010).

Following the Aggie Invitational, Baylor will look to claim its second Big 12 Conference title in program history April 27-29 at the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship in Trinity, Texas.
