WACO, Texas - The No. 49 Baylor men's golf team were announced as a No. 8 seed in the NCAA Pullman Regional during the Division I Men's Golf Championship selection show on Monday night.

Baylor will be making its 16th consecutive postseason appearance, extending one of the nation's longest streaks for NCAA regional bids.

The 54-hole tournament hosted by Washington State will be held at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash., which is one of six regional sites. The tournament will be played on the par-72, 7,308-yard golf course.

"I am excited about going to Washington," head coach Greg Priest said. "We are looking forward to competing in the NCAA regional. I like our seeding and if we go play well like we are capable of doing we have a great chance of advancing."

The top five teams and low three individuals not on advancing teams will move on to the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship, which will be played May 28-June 2 at The Capital City Club, Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Ga.

Baylor is one of eight teams in the 14-team regional that is ranked in the top 50 of the latest GolfStat rankings. The Bears are joined by No. 1 California, No. 11 TCU, No. 12 Southern California, No. 24 St. Mary's, No. 25 Virginia Tech, No. 36 BYU and No. 37 North Texas.

Other teams competing in the Pullman Regional include: San Diego State, Ball State, Memphis, Pacific, Princeton and Saint Francis.

The NCAA Pullman Regional runs May 16-18, and live scoring for all three rounds will be available at golfstat.com.
