Allcorn, Thomas Selected All-American Scholars

WACO, Texas - - Men's golfers Bill Allcorn and Chase Thomas were selected GCAA Cleveland Golf All-American Scholars for 2007 the Golf Coaches Association of America announced this week.

Allcorn (Abilene, Texas) recorded Baylor's highest finish at the Big 12 Championships when he tied for 11th overall. He also placed 121st at the 2007 NCAA Central Regional in Sugar Grove, Ill. Allcorn recorded one top-10 finish this season as he placed ninth at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate.

Thomas (Dallas, Texas) was Baylor's second finisher at the Big 12 Championships, tying for 22nd overall at Prairie Dunes Country Club. He also finished tied for 82nd at the NCAA Central Regional. Thomas was second for the Bears in stroke average at 74.46 per round.

The Bears qualified for their tenth straight NCAA Regional appearance, the longest active postseason streak across all sports at Baylor. The Bears claimed one tournament title this season, sharing honors with Wake Forest at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Classic.
