EDMOND, Okla. - The Baylor men's golf team plays in its final tournament of the fall semester as it heads to the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Sunday through Tuesday at 7,417-yard, par-71 Oak Tree Golf Club.
Head coach Greg Priest will send the lineup of seniors Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas) and Jeremy Frye (Palestine, Texas), juniors Brian Meck (Austin, Texas) and Wes Williams (Franklin, Tenn.) and sophomore Bill Allcorn (Abilene, Texas). Redshirt freshman Colton Williams (Jacksboro, Texas) will be playing individually.
The field consists of eight teams, including three others, along with Baylor, ranked among Golfweek's top 50: host Oklahoma, SMU and Tulsa.
The Bears finished third at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., earlier this week. Alcorn led the Bears by tying for fifth, his 10th career top-five showing.
The Baylor "green" team will play in San Antonio Monday and Tuesday, with that lineup consisting of seniors Colton Turnquist (Austin, Texas) and Chase Thomas (Dallas, Texas), sophomore Matt Briggs (San Antonio, Texas) and redshirt freshmen Weldon Martin (Houston, Texas) and Jeff Gerlich (Austin, Texas).
Baylor will have a long layoff before returning to action in the spring, beginning with the Louisiana Classics March 5-6 in Lafayette, La.
