EDMOND, Okla. -
The Baylor men's golf team shot a first-round 306 to finish at 22-over par after the first day at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate at Oak Tree Golf Club.
Playing conditions were tough in the early parts of the first round with stiff wind causing high scores. The front moved through the area in the afternoon, calming the winds and allowing for better play.

Will Griffin of Texas Tech was the lone player under par in the first round as he holds the lead after 18 holes with a 2-under par 71.
Jeff Gerlich (Austin, Texas) and Colton Williams (Jacksboro, Texas) led the Bears in the first round, shooting 5-over par 76s to tie for eighth place overall.
Cody Paladino (Kennington, Conn.) and Wes Williams (Franklin, Tenn.) sit one shot behind at 6-over par in a tie for 16th place. Bill Allcorn (Abilene, Texas) shot a first round 78 to finish in a tie for 23rd at 7-over par.
