Allcorn Becomes Fourth Former Bear to Advance at PGA Q-School

PGA TOUR Q-School 2009 Information

WACO, Texas - Bill Allcorn became the fourth former Baylor men's golfer to advance to the PGA TOUR's Q-School second qualifying stage Saturday at Lantana Golf Club.

Allcorn shot a final-round 3-under 69 to finish tied for seventh at 9-under (66-69-75-69=279). The Abilene, Texas, native was one of 26 golfers that competed at Lantana Golf Club to advance to the second qualifying stage. Allcorn joins former Bears Ryana Baca, Will Doughtie and Jeremy Frye who qualified last week.

Jeremy Alcorn, who played at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga., did not qualify for the second stage, finishing tied for 49th at 6-over (72-73-75-74=294).

The second qualifying stage will be held Nov. 18-21 as six different sites - Brooksville, Fla. (Southern Hills), Panama City Beach, Fla. (Hombre GC), Pine Mountain Ga. (Callaway Gardens-Mountain View GC), Kingwood, Texas (Deerwood GC), McKinney, Texas (TPC Craig Ranch) and Beaumont, Calif. (Oak Valley GC).
