WACO, Texas - Baylor head men's golf coach Greg Priest announced the signings of Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen and Filippo Zucchetti to National Letters of Intent for the 2011-12 academic year Monday.

"We are very excited about our 2011 signing class," Priest said. "Mikkel and Filippo are outstanding young men and we are glad to have them joining the Baylor family. Both should make a huge impact for us over the next few years."

Bjerch-Andresen, a native of Norway, was a member of the Norwegian National team and led his team to a second-place finish at the 2010 European Boys Team Championship in Istanbul, Turkey. He later won the 2010 Titleist Tour Order of Merit.

He also finished fifth at the Egyptian Amateur Open which earned him a wild card spot in the European Challenge Tour event playing in Egypt.

Zucchetti, a native of Italy, prepared at Bradenton Prep School in Bradenton, Fla. He is a three-time member of the Italian Amateur Team. In 2007, he finished second at the Italian U18 Match Play Championship in Verona and later finished third at the Italian U16 Medal Championship in Milan. In 2009, he tied for third at the Italian U18 Medal Championship and represented Italy at the Sir Henry Cooper Nation's Trophy, helping his country finish second.

He advanced to the match play portion of the 2010 British Boys Amateur in Scotland. He also participated in the Italian Championships, Dutch Junior International, Belgian International Junior, German Amateur and Luxemburg International European Amateur Championship in 2010.

"They have had a lot of success in Europe playing for their national teams which will be very beneficial in helping our team continue to compete at a high level," Priest said.
