BOCA RATON, Fla. - All four of Baylor's men's tennis' remaining players advanced to the third round of the USTA Futures professional tournament at the Swim & Racquet Center of Boca Raton (FL) on Saturday. The Bears all won in straight sets in the tournament that is a tuneup for the 2009 collegiate season.
Earning round of 64 victories for the Bears were juniors Denes Lukacs, Dominik Mueller and Attila Bucko, and freshman Julian Bley. Lukacs and Bley were the first of the four to take the court on Saturday morning. Lukacs posted the most impressive victory, downing the bracket's No. 2 seed Tigran Martirosyan (ARM), 6-4, 6-2.
