THE RUNDOWN:
TULSA, Okla. -
The run of Baylor's men's tennis junior Mate Zsiga in the ITA All-American Championships singles qualifying draw ended on Wednesday with a straight-set defeat at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

The 60th-ranked Zsiga pushed the 67th-ranked Harrison Adams of Texas A&M to tiebreakers in both sets, but ended up coming up short 7-6(0), 7-6(8). After taking a 5-2 lead in the first set, Zsiga was unable to close out the set. In the second set, the Szeged, Hungary, native battled back to tie the set at 5-5, but couldn't get over the hump in the tiebreaker.

Zsiga's singles record for the year is now 4-3 with a 0-2 record against ranked opponents.

TOP QUOTE:
"Mate left some chances on the table today. He played competitively in the second set and his opponent played one of the best tiebreakers I have ever seen in the first, so really it just came down to leaving some chances on the table in that first set." - Dominik Mueller, Baylor assistant coach on Mate Zsiga
