TULSA, Okla. - The run of Baylor's men's tennis junior Mate Zsiga in the ITA All-American Championships singles qualifying draw ended on Wednesday with a straight-set defeat at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The 60th-ranked Zsiga pushed the 67th-ranked Harrison Adams of Texas A&M to tiebreakers in both sets, but ended up coming up short 7-6(0), 7-6(8). After taking a 5-2 lead in the first set, Zsiga was unable to close out the set. In the second set, the Szeged, Hungary, native battled back to tie the set at 5-5, but couldn't get over the hump in the tiebreaker.

"Mate left some chances on the table today. He played competitively in the second set and his opponent played one of the best tiebreakers I have ever seen in the first, so really it just came down to leaving some chances on the table in that first set." - Dominik Mueller, Baylor assistant coach on Mate Zsiga
