COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Junior Roberto Maytin and freshman Mate Zsiga each won quarterfinal matches but fell in the semifinals of the USTA/ITA Texas Regional at College Station, Texas, on Sunday.

In quarterfinal action, the third-seeded Maytin defeated Texas' Soren Hess-Olesen by taking the first set 6-4 then the Longhorn retired due to injury. Zsiga, a No. 3 seed, breezed past Texas A&M's Alberto Bautista, 6-0, 6-2.

The results were just the opposite in semifinal action, as both Bears lost. The Aggies' Jeremy Efferding defeated Maytin in three sets, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3, while Zsiga was eliminated by the tournament's No. 1 seed, Gonzago Escobar of Texas Tech, 6-2, 6-4.

The next action for the Bears will be Oct. 31-Nov. 6 when they compete in the Niceville Future Tournament in Niceville, Texas.
