WACO, Texas - The fifth-ranked Baylor men's tennis team (11-4) will host No. 35 Tulsa on Friday at 7p.m., followed by a doubleheader featuring Laredo College and SMU on Saturday at the Hurd Tennis Center.

After returning from a nine-day road trip to California that featured matches against No. 3 UCLA, No. 5 USC, and No. 6 Illinois, the Bears play in Waco for the first time since Feb. 23. BU has five singles competitors ranked in the latest ITA poll with Julian Lenz, Patrick Pradella, Diego Galeano, Tony Lupieri and Michel Dornbusch checking in at No. 8, 15, 31, 97, and 104 respectively.

Tulsa (10-7) has three singles players ranked with No. 63 Japie De Klerk, No. 67 Clifford Marsland and No. 108 Alejandro Espejo. The Golden Hurricane also has one doubles team ranked in No. 19 Marsland and Dylan McCloskey. Baylor leads the all-time series against Tulsa 5-2 with the last meeting being a Baylor win in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Championships in Waco.

On Saturday, BU will host its second doubleheader of the season. The Bears will begin play at 1 p.m. as they host SMU, followed by a 6 p.m. match against Laredo Community College.

SMU enters the match with a 9-8 record on the year and a 1-3 record on the road. SMU leads the all-time record against the Bears 28-20, but the Bears have racked up an impressive 18-3 mark against the Mustangs in the Knoll era.

In the second match on Saturday, the Bears will host LCC. The Palominos are one of the most successful programs in Division 1 Junior College Tennis. Laredo won national titles five years in a row spanning from 2005-10. Baylor currently has a 4-0 undefeated record against LCC.

Following Saturday's matches, the Bears will be back in action on Friday, March 28, when they take on No. 32 Memphis at the Hurd Tennis Center.
