Four Baylor Athletes Selected for All-Big 12 Tennis Teams

WACO, Texas - Big 12 Conference coaches named four Baylor tennis players to their All-Big 12 teams, the conference announced Thursday.

Senior Jahnavi Parekh and junior Katja Kovac each earned all-conference women's singles honors, the honor was each player's third of her career. The team of Kovac and Parekh was named all-conference in doubles for the second time, the pair also earned an all-Big 12 nod in 1999.

For the men, senior Mark Williams earned the first all-conference singles recognition of his career. Williams and freshman Reiner Neurohr were named all-Big 12 in doubles, the honor was Neurohr's first and Williams' second.

The Baylor women start play in the 2001 Big 12 Championships at home in Waco Friday at 1:30 p.m. against Nebraska. The Baylor men follow at 4 p.m. against Colorado. Both matches will be played at the new Baylor Tennis Center.
