Men's Tennis Signs Jordan Rux to National Letter of Intent

WACO, Texas - Baylor men's tennis signed Jordan Rux (Kerrville, Texas) to a national letter of intent head coach Matt Knoll announced on Thursday.

"Jordan is exactly what we were looking for in recruiting. He is highly motivated and highly dedicated with a lot of potential," said Knoll. "In addition, he is an excellent student and comes from an extremely strong family. Jordan is a perfect fit for Baylor University and Baylor tennis," he added.

Coached by Robert Trogolo and Garry Nadebaum, Rux is currently listed No. 1 nationally in the USTA Boy's 18 rankings. In November 2006 he won the USTA National Open and has competed in the USTA National Championships, the Orange Bowl Championships as well as representing Team Texas in the Junior Davis Cup.

A veteran of international junior tournament experience, the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) currently ranks him No. 1164.

Rux selected Baylor over Georgia, Pepperdine, Illinois and Texas A&M.
