Men's Tennis to Take on Alumni
Sept. 19, 2008
WACO, Texas - On Saturday, Sept. 20 beginning at 10 a.m., at the Baylor Tennis Center on campus, Baylor's men's tennis team will host its first annual Alumni Match. Several former Baylor stars will return to take on the current Bear squad in a collegiate dual match format. "Our first annual Alumni Match should be a blast. It would take some time to count all the Big 12 Championship rings this group earned during their time at Baylor. Additionally, we'll have members of our 2004 NCAA national championship team and several All-Americans returning to our courts. This is a special chance for people to catch a glimpse of these Baylor greats," said Knoll. Expecting to challenge the current team members are: The match will be a dual match format with three doubles matches followed by six singles matches. Doubles will be an eight game pro set while singles will be two sets and if necessary, a tiebreaker for the third set.
Returnees Denes Lukacs, Dominik Mueller, Attila Bucko and Jordan Rux will lead the Bears and be joined by newcomers Julian Bley and Marc Bruche, both freshmen. |
