WACO, Texas – Baylor men’s tennis players Constantin Frantzen and Akos Kotorman head to the Alamo City to compete in the UTSA Cup Friday, Oct. 13 – Sunday, Oct. 15 at the UTSA Tennis Center in San Antonio.
Baylor will be joined by host UTSA, St. Mary's, Texas, Texas A&M-Corpus-Christi, Texas Tech, Tyler Junior College and UT Arlington in the hidden dual-match event.
Eight teams consisting of four singles players and two doubles players will be placed in two groups (Group 1, Group 2) and compete in a round robin format for the first two days. On the final day, Group 1 teams will compete against Group 2 teams based on their finish in round robin play.
Frantzen is currently 2-2 on the year in singles play while Kotorman is looking for his first collegiate win after starting the year 0-4 individually. In doubles, Frantzen is 2-1 with teammate Roy Smith in doubles while Kotorman is 0-1 with Jimmy Bendeck. The duo has yet to compete in doubles together.
