EUGENE, Ore. - Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling was unable to make a comeback after falling behind Oregon early in the meet, and the Ducks knocked off the Bears 266.78-249.27 on Saturday afternoon at Matthew Knight Arena.
Baylor began the meet with a 37.45-36.05 loss in Compulsories. Oregon stretched the lead to 65.40-61.30 after a strong performance in the Acro event, and the Bears fell behind further after dropping the Pyramid event.
The Ducks held a 94.15-88.70 lead at the break. Baylor was unable to make a comeback after halftime, dropping the Toss event. After four of six events, Oregon held the lead at 121.10-112.00.
Baylor won two out of six Tumbling heats, trailing the Ducks 54.08-52.53. Oregon held a commanding 10.65-point lead heading into the final event - the Team Routine.
The Bears scored 84.74 in the Team Routine, but fell short to Oregon's 91.60. This resulted in Oregon's 266.78-249.27 win over the Bears.
Baylor's next meet is March 10 when the Bears host Quinnipiac at the Ferrell Center.
