WACO, Texas - Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling hosts its first home meet of the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) season when the Bears (0-1) take on Azusa Pacific (0-1) at 6:30 p.m. CT Tuesday at the Ferrell Center.
"The athletes are excited to be home and to be around fans," head coach LaPrise Harris-Williams said. "We've developed a lot since last season and are excited to perform."
Although the Bears have already faced a meet cancellation against Quinnipiac and a loss against Fairmont State, they are still hopeful for a strong season.
"The team is very strong and very hopeful," Harris-Williams said. "We're back on track. An injury in the first meet set us back a bit, but our team has a lot of depth. We have some very talented athletes."
Following the meet against Azusa Pacific, the Bears host their second home meet of the 2013 season when they take on the Quinnipiac Bobcats on March 10 at the Ferrell Center. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for students. A free live video stream is also available for every home meet through www.BaylorBears.com.
All NCATA events are sanctioned through USA Gymnastics.
