WACO, Texas - Baylor University's acrobatics & tumbling head coach LaPrise Harris-Williams has chosen to resign from her position to pursue other opportunities within the gymnastics world, school officials announced today.
"We are grateful for LaPrise's contributions to our acrobatic & tumbling program over the last three seasons and wish her well in her future pursuits," said Baylor Director of Athletics Ian McCaw.
In three seasons as head coach of the Baylor program, Harris-Williams led her team to three appearances in the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) national championship, reaching the event's semi-final round twice, and coached four NCATA All-Americans.
A national search for Harris-Williams' successor will be conducted, McCaw said.
