Baylor Women's Basketball vs. Louisiana College - 11/02/2006

The 2006-07 season marks Meredith Doyle's second season as graduate assistant with the Lady Bear basketball program.

Doyle's primary duties include coordinating the film exchange program, working closely with the coaching staff to prepare for opponents and in recruit correspondence. In addition, she coordinates the Lady Bear ball girls and the Dream Team, the all-male practice squad.

Doyle came to Baylor after a four-year basketball career at Abilene Christian University, three seasons she served as team captain. Doyle, a forward, enjoyed her best season as a senior, earning Lone Star Conference honorable mention honors. She averaged 7.2 points and 3.9 rebounds and ranked No. 2 on the team in assists her senior campaign.

According to ACU head coach Shawna Lavender, "Meredith gave us great leadership, on and off the floor." During her tenure at ACU, Doyle was named to the Lone Star Conference's All-Academic team three times. Doyle also served as Vice President for the school's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for two years. She graduated in December 2004 (magna cum laude) with a 3.76 grade point average and earned a degree in exercise science and a minor in history.

The Sulphur Springs, Texas, native graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 2000 where she was an all-state performer and the school's all-time leading scorer. She is currently seeking a master's degree in sport management at Baylor. Doyle plans on pursuing a collegiate coaching career after graduation.
