|| BAYLOR QUOTES
“I thought the crowd was outstanding, and I think TCU will find this to be true you don’t lead the country in fan attendance in women’s basketball as good as you do in the Big 12. I thought our fans turned out. I thought we did fine, I thought we saw more zone tonight than other games. You are always worried when you go on the road. I thought the environment and crowd was good, and our kids responded.”
On after the dunk...
“I don’t think the crowd left disappointed. They go to see the best of Baylor, and they got to see everyone play. I think our defense was pretty decent. When you have a team who shoots as many threes as TCU, you are going to have a lot of loose balls. How many times is a fan going to go to a women’s basketball game and see a dunk? I don’t even know how you describe it, it just happened so quickly.”
On the intimidation of a dunk...
“If you’re a good team and a good player in this game you have short-term memory. Good things happen and bad things happen. You have to hurry up and move on to the next play.”
On how to learn from lopsided games...
"We don’t look at the scoreboard, you get better by continuing to teach. By substituting players and combinations, I am really looking at the defensive side of the ball. Where the kids get lazy; it’s really the next day in film when we can show it to them. We can’t dwell on it too long, we have to move on. There is always something you can teach. I like to think our defense can wear you down. Like when does Sims tire down.”
On her dunk...
“I saw them both slide over, and I was like 'yes, here it comes'. I knew that one was coming. I don’t think I was moving around enough before the dunk. This was probably my second-ranked dunk in my career. I am used to dunking. I don’t really think about it, but tonight I did.”
