Baylor Head Coach Kim Mulkey
On the game:
"I was nervous at the half. You never relax against anyone, especially Iowa State. They can quickly make you look bad with a lead. The three ball for them is effortless as you saw in the second half (10-for-16). They are a really good shooting team and again I want to compliment our defense. When you hold two opponents in the 50's, we are guarding people and putting in the effort. Some of those threes were just good shots and some of them we got confused on who was switching and who wasn't switching."
On Baylor's guards:
"Our perimeter players had good shots. (Jessica) Morrow, Melissa (Jones) and Jasmine (Player) hit big shots for us. They never wavered and they are capable of doing that. We can make those shots and I thought that we were very solid. When they cut the lead we didn't get rattled. We came back and answered on the offensive end."
Baylor Guard Jessica Morrow
On getting eight rebounds on the night:
"I didn't even know. When [Coach Mulkey] was yelling at me on the sideline, I thought I had two. The coaches drill us everyday in practice about rebounding, especially me. During the game getting to the basket is always on my mind, particularly in the Big 12 Rebounds are very important, they can win or lose a game for you."
Baylor Post Danielle Wilson
Reaction to Iowa State Head Coach Bill Fennelly commenting that she looked like a completely different player:
"It makes me feel good. It just makes me realize how much work I put in during the summer. That is where it started with me, working hard on my game this summer and getting strong under the basket."
