Baylor Head Coach Kim Mulkey

On Alexis Jones’ triple-double...
"Well, I'll tell you, I didn't know she had 9 rebounds. If someone would've told me that, I would've put her back in to get another rebound, because if not for KK today, we weren't hitting the offensive glass, so I looked at her and told her to start the second quarter and crash the offensive boards. She had been the best at that, and KK did it and she gave us a spark. Jones, I didn't know she had the triple-double, and one of the coaches told me after she came out, and I said I was going to let her go one possession down and back. I said if she didn't get it, I just couldn't take a chance on a kid getting hurt, and she threw the ball in there to Kalani, and Kalani made the move to the paint and scored it. If it's a situation where I can control it, I will."

On slow first quarter...
"We missed six layups at the end of the first quarter I think. And hey, it's part of basketball. They came out excited, and hit a bunch of shots. We had some sloppy ball handling and turned it over on passes and weathered the storm. Look at the field goal percentage in each quarter. We held them to 15% in the fourth. I attribute that to our defense and our depth. We play kids throughout the game, so by the time we get to the fourth quarter, we hope that our depth has worn down our opponents, because they had six players that did most of the playing today, and those six players hit shots early in the game, but were missing some good looks late in the game."

On how big triple-double is...
"Well, the thing about it is, I didn't realize it. I guess because we see her every day and I'm watching everybody, and I'm watching KK give us a spark, and Cox pass the ball. You get caught up in all of them, so I had no clue that she had that many in each of those categories."

Guard Alexis Jones

On if she knew about triple double during the game...
"I had no idea that I was that close, I was just playing."

On if she had ever had a triple double before...
"High school yes, but I think this is my first triple double in college."

Forward Khadijiah Cave

On mood on bench in first quarter...
"Just to stay motivated and help each other out. I was talking to Kalani and telling her to keep her head focused and stay in the game, and she'd do better next time she got back out there. So we just encourage each other on the bench to let the mistakes go and keep playing the game."

On offensive boards in second quarter...
"I just try to go out there and be an important player and an energy player, and crashing the boards is what I do best. So I just try to go out there and give that spark and give the team the energy they need."

Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale

On what Baylor did to take over in 2nd quarter...
"We missed quite a few layups and took the wind out of our sails, and gave them a window to attack, and they do that very well, and I think that sends a message sometimes, when you miss easy layups. It's not just the layup, but Baylor does a really good job of sensing when you're nervous or if you're scared, and I think they did a really good job of attacking at that point. Still, at halftime, I felt like we were in great shape. You just can't beat anyone in this league shooting the way we did in the second half. We were 1-for-14 from three, I think. You can't win games doing that."

On how this Baylor team compares to past teams...
"Definitely, because of the waves they come at you with. No matter how physical it is on the inside, they've got another one coming that's just as physical on the inside. Most of us don't have that many guys with that much size and athleticism to balance that with."

On what to take from the game...
"We did a lot of really good stuff. I take away a lot of really good things. I thought our spacing was fantastic early in the game. We were anchored and attentive to the game plan. We were really, really good to start. I just think you get hit with a punch, and when you're reeling a little bit, they've got another wave to send in and hit you with. Our little freshmen Chelsea and Nancy didn't handle it very well, but they'll handle it better next time we play them. I just think our team is learning and growing and getting better."

On Alexis Jones' triple double...
"She's fantastic. I feel like we were her coming out party in her first year here at Baylor. She has been tremendous every time we've played them. She understands big games and rises to the challenge."
