POSTGAME QUOTES - BAYLOR
Baylor Head Coach Kim Mulkey:
On the game:
"Good again that we got to play everybody, when you play everybody, everybody is happy, and when you win by a big margin, everybody is happy. Let me just say this about this game and the last exhibition, there is a lot going on this time of year. Monday it was the Rangers playing, Monday night football, and we had 5,500. Tonight, it was high school football and what did we have, five or six thousand tonight. Thanks to the fans, and we do appreciate that. Not a game that I can tell you all that was good about it other than we all got to play."
On Lineup Changes:
"I am just looking at different people. (Kimetria) Hayden was in there for Kelli Griffin, and Shanay's was more of her back bothering her and now she is getting healthy, so she is back in the lineup."
On Brittney Griner:
"Brittney has played strong in practice and she has got to do that to elevate her game. I don't look necessarily at the score or who we are playing, I look at things she is doing when she is being fouled. There were a couple of times there tonight when she had a couple of them hanging on her and she went up strong regardless of the score or how small the girls were. I just think that Brittney is playing good basketball right now."
Baylor Post Brooklyn Pope:
On Her Performance:
"Well the last exhibition game was a great reminder that I need to work hard and that I need to finish my layups so that was a big focal point for me; to finish my layups and pass the ball better to my teammates."
Baylor Post Brittney Griner:
On her inside game:
"Every time in practice, when I catch the ball around the goal they, always just tell me to go up and hold my follow through. Coach was yelling at me from the bench to hold up my follow through and (the ball) started going down. It's just working on it in practice gave me more confidence to knock it down in the game."
