In its final tune-up game before regular season action, six Baylor players scored in double figures to lead the Lady Bears past the Dallas Diesel 94-63 on Friday night.
Sophomore Melissa Jones posted a double-double, tallying a game-high 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Junior Danielle Wilson neared a double-double with 14 points and 8 boards, while junior Morghan Medlock tallied 14 points. Senior Jhasmin Player and freshman Ashley Field added 12 points each, along with senior Rachel Allison's 10 points.
Behind 48.6 percent shooting, the Lady Bears took a commanding 42-20 lead going into the half.
Dallas' Devena Fogarty had the hot hand, scoring nine of the Diesel's 20 points in the first half, eight of which happened in the first 11 minutes. Fogarty finished with a team-high 17 points.
Baylor shot 55.7 percent (39-of-70) for the game and held Dallas to 35.4 percent (23-of-65). The Lady Bears scored 37 points off of 28 Dallas turnovers, while recording 11 steals.
The Lady Bears eclipsed the 50-rebound mark for the second consecutive exhibition game. Baylor also dominated down low with 60 points in the paint.
The Lady Bears will host Florida Atlantic on Nov. 14 at 7:00 p.m.
