MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
• Tonight's announced attendance was 5,037.
• Baylor will face Hofstra in the second round of the Preseason Women's NIT on Sunday, Nov. 12, at 2:00 p.m. Hofstra was a 79-72 victor over Wichita State on Friday night.

TEAM NOTES
• With the victory, Baylor is 26-7 all-time in season openers. Baylor is now 6-1 in season openers with head coach Kim Mulkey.
• Baylor is 13-1 all-time in home openers to open the season and is 3-0 under Kim Mulkey in home openers to open the season.
• Baylor is now 16-3 all-time in home openers at the Ferrell Center as the win was the 14th consecutive home opening victory.
• Baylor is now 18-13 all-time against North Texas with a 9-5 record in Waco as the Lady Bears have won three straight in the series.
• The 37-point victory over the Mean Green was the second-largest margin of victory for the Lady Bears in the series.
• With the victory, head coach Kim Mulkey moved her all-time November record to 29-2.
• Tonight's victory was the 18th straight for Baylor against non-conference opponents at the Ferrell Center. Under Kim Mulkey, Baylor is now 44-2 against non-conference opponents at home and 93-14 against non-conference opponents overall since her arrival.
• Baylor moved its all-time record in the Preseason Women's NIT to 2-1 with the victory.
• Baylor held North Texas to 26.2 percent (17-of-65) shooting on the night while Baylor shot 50 percent (32-of-64) on the night. Baylor is now 55-1 under Kim Mulkey when shooting at least 50 percent and 143-9 under Mulkey when out-shooting its opponent from the field.
• The Lady Bears held a 36-4 edge in points off turnovers, a 52-20 edge in points in the paint, a 20-8 advantage in second chance points and a 41-16 advantage in points off the bench.


 

 

PLAYER NOTES
• With 15 points and 14 rebounds, Bernice Mosby recorded her first career double-double in a Baylor uniform. It was the 18th double-double of her career.
• Freshman Danielle Wilson was the second-leading scored for the Lady Bears on the night, posting 14 points. Wilson also led the Lady Bears with five blocks on the evening.
Rachel Allison was the only other Lady Bear to reach double figures, posting 10 points on the night.
Whitney Jones led the way with three steals while Angela Tisdale and Mosby tied for the team lead with three assists.
