Baylor Head Coach Kim Mulkey: On Jhasmin Player: "That's a lot of points in a short period of time. The thing that impresses me about Jhasmin is she can play 40 minutes every night. She plays well on both ends of the floor. I was happy with all the players tonight."
On free throws: "You know their style of play. They are going to foul you and gamble, and they are going to press. We still missed some free throws but I think we made enough."
On playing at home: "I'm glad we're playing at Baylor. I'm really appreciative of the crowd. There is football going on and volleyball playoffs. Anytime you can get a crowd before January you really appreciate it. I'm glad all three games are played in Waco."
Baylor guard Jhasmin Player: On her career-high 29 points: "It was really nothing I did at all. The team just gave me some good looks...I did a lot of work this summer and it paid off today. I'm just happy we won. I'd rather have zero points and win."
Baylor post Danielle Wilson: On the game: "For me it was just playing defense like coach taught me. I was just staying on the ground because I knew they would make multiple moves...Being able to stay on the court and not pick up my second foul in the first half helped a lot."
On winning big:
"Coach said when we play don't look at the score. Just play like the game is 0-0."
