Baylor Head Coach Kim Mulkey
ON THE PLAY OF FRESHMAN PLAYERS:
"The freshmen came in and did just about what you'd think freshmen would do in their first collegiate competition, and that is turnover it over, be a little nervous, not make good decisions and I took them. But I told them at halftime; when opportunity knocks you take it advantage of it. I gave them another opportunity and they were much better the second go around. "
ON THE PLAY OF Rachel Allison:
"I guess the best compliment I can tell her is when the coach shook my hand she says, `Wow, Rachel Allison.' I said, `Yes she never stops moving, her motor is always going.'"
ON THE PLAY OF HER SENIORS:
"The seniors did what they should to do. This was their first game of their senior year, playing at home and I thought Rachel (Allison), Jess (Jessica Morrow), and Jazz (Jhasmin Player) played very hard and inspired. I hope they have some of that Sunday and I know they will."
ON HER PLAY TONIGHT:
"I think I just came out ready to play. It's our first game, it's my senior year, I am excited. I always like to take at least one charge a game. I think we played awesome defense tonight."
ON BAYLOR'S DEPTH INSIDE:
"I think we have the experience with her (Medlock) coming from USC and me and Danielle being in the program for three or four years now and Ashley coming up. She has us to help her along. I think its going to be a good thing inside."
ON SETTING A BAYLOR RECORD FOR TEAM REBOUNDS: "We go hard at it in practice everyday and I think it showed tonight. Now we just have to bring that same intensity Sunday."
ON PLAYING STANFORD IN THE PAST:
"Having played them for my first two years we really have to get after it. Like coach said, we have to limit them to one shot."
