BAYLOR HEAD COACH Kim Mulkey
On the game:
"I just want to say how proud I am of my basketball team. We've played three top ranked teams in the past week and to win two out of three with the young talent that we have, how can I not be proud? This was just a good basketball game. Obviously, with Fowles in foul trouble, that was to our advantage."
"It is a win that they learned how to win. Did they do it in the way I would like to them to do three months down the road? No. We had chances to extend the lead and we didn't. But it's a win and that's contagious. I want them to remember what this feels like, learn from it."
On Bernice Mosby:
"She played just about the whole game and never hurt you on the defensive end with fatigue. She was bound and determined as someone who has been in college longer than anyone to be the leader of this team. I really have to compliment Bernice Mosby."
LSU HEAD COACH POKEY CHATMAN
On the game:
"As I look at the stat sheet, I think we were fortunate we only lost by four points. We were up against a very good team tonight. We didn't capitalize on anything."
On LSU attempting so many three-pointers:
"Early on we worked so hard to get to the bonus, I was okay with the threes. So many of them were wide open; but, I don't think that was the death of us. We got our butts whipped on the boards."
On the atmosphere:
"It was great. It's November and there were 7,000 people here for a pre-Thanksgiving game. That's great for women's basketball games."
