Head Coach Kim Mulkey

On lull in first half...
"I think it was that they'd switched to zone and we'd missed some shots and let it affect us. We had a turnover or two there and you expect those things to happen. This team is so young that there's going to be stretches where we look good--we're energized and do some good things--and then there's going to be stretches when we look bad and we've just got to be patient and keep teaching at every time out."

On getting what she needed from the game...
"I think we got what we needed. As compared to the last game, we made more shots in the second half. From the first half, we hit that lull, but in the second half, even though I'm rotating a lot of players, I thought they produced and tried to be aggressive offensively."

Junior F Sune Agbuke

On stepping up to be more than an offensive presence...
"This year I really want to focus on playing my role and whatever the team needs me to do whether that be rebound or play defense. Tonight I really wanted to bring it all together."

Senior Guard Odyssey Sims

On the inside attack...
"It's very important. We're guard-heavy but at the same time we need our posts to run and score and rebound and they do a great job. They've been focusing more on finishing and being strong with it."

On posts being assertive...
"We've definitely been putting emphasis on it in practice and sometimes we don't give them the ball unless we see their numbers."

Sophomore Post Kristina Higgins

On guards getting the ball inside to her...

"The guards always get it inside but we never really finish so Coach [Kim Mulkey] always tell us if we get the ball to finish and score and that's what we tried to do tonight."

On being in the right spots...
"Coach [Kim Mulkey] is always saying if you move to the right spot, the ball will fall in your lap and the ball was falling in my lap a lot tonight. That's a good thing."

Head Coach Cedric Baker

On Savannah State's first half...
"In the first half I was really pleased with the physical presence and mental toughness that we brought to the floor, with the young team that we have. I just thought we kind of lost it emotionally adjusting to the new rules, the one-hand touch especially."

On Baylor without Brittany Griner...
"You had a kid in Brittany Griner who definitely brought a physical presence to the game, but they never underestimated the talent around her. They definitely made the adjustment of her moving onto the next level. They have great team chemistry and they respect their strengths as a team and play towards those strengths."

On Odyssey Sims...
"[Odyssey Sims] is an All-American and she's playing at this level for a reason. I haven't seen many young ladies who can play as well as she does on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. She's a special talent."
