#8/8 Baylor 89 - Louisiana 42 - Nov. 28, 2009
Ferrell Center (Waco, Texas) - Att.: 6,177

Baylor Head Coach Kim Mulkey

On the game...
"I think you are seeing a lot of good things from us on the defensive end of the floor. I thought we did a very good job of getting in the passing lanes and denying the ball. We had a quick turnaround, the legs aren't quite as bouncy, but its another win and we'll be ready tomorrow at 2:30."

On the post play...
"I thought that (Brittney) Griner got some touches because she didn't have four people around her every time she walked. I thought Morghan Medlock was very active, along with Melissa Jones. Those are your three, with Kelli Griffin, that are giving you the most minutes. Those kids are playing pretty good right now."

On turning the ball over 26 times...
"An area that still concerns me is turnovers. You just can't turn the ball over as much as we are turning it over. We are just turning the ball over too much and we will continue to work on that. I think it is just sloppy play. I don't know if it is what UL caused or us trying to do too much. But, its not good when you look up and you got one assist and five turnovers. We need to have a 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio, and that's what we preach to them."

Freshman Center Brittney Griner

On her presence in the paint...
"They really didn't come inside too much, maybe for fear of getting their shot blocked."

Louisiana Head Coach Errol Rogers

On the game...
"Baylor has a great program here, and Coach Mulkey, she has a great staff. We told our kids to just go out there and play hard. One of our goals was to try to keep them under 70, and stay as close as we possibly could. I thought our kids played hard the first five minutes, and then they turned up their intensity level, we just kind of buckled. That's why they are in the Big 12. You have to be able to turn on that intensity and keep it up. We didn't protect the ball, and we let them intimidate us."
