Baylor Head Coach Kim Mulkey
On the newcomers' impact in the game:
"I thought all of the newcomers did good things out there. We extended the lead and we didn't turn the ball over. We didn't try to do things that we are not capable of doing. It was a good night for every one of them."
On the ball movement and offensive production:
"We have emphasized (patience) in practice the last couple of days with ball reversal and being patient. Against good teams you are not always going to take the first shot that is available. They are going to make you run your second or third option or even past that. I just thought that we passed the ball better and I thought we attacked their 1-3-1 (defense) good. We haven't seen that this year and I thought we made the diagonal cross-court pass well. I thought we had some good looks."
On the importance of the newcomers getting minutes:
"Anytime that you can give a lot of kids playing time...you never know who is going to help you unexpectedly on the road. I change from game to game and practice to practice on who I am excited about out of the new bunch. The returning players I know what I am getting with the 6 players. It is the 7th, 8th and 9th players that have to help us to make us a better basketball team."
Baylor Senior Forward Danielle Wilson
On the two-game West Coast trip:
"It is a business trip. It is right before the holidays and we have to take care of business so that we can enjoy our Christmas time and not dwell on our losses on the west coast. We just have to take each game one-by-one and hopefully come back with two wins."
Baylor Junior Forward Morghan Medlock
On Danielle Wilson:
"She is amazing in practice. We watch her grow everyday and we get prepared for these games. Now it is kind of like you never know what you are going to see. We are just really excited that she is doing well and is elevating her game."
