Baylor Head Coach Kim Mulkey:
On returning from the break...
"It's about Baylor now. It's about focusing and getting back into the shape that we were in before the holidays. That's why we pressed and that's why we changed our defense to try and get into some type of conditioning and work on Baylor."
On the play of Nae-Nae Hayden and Jordan Madden...
"They are freshman and they have been off for six days. They started out not looking real good but they did some good things. You can see that the talent is there."
On the inside game...
"If you look at our stats, three of our top four scorers are post players. I think the emphasis will always be inside if you have players that can finish. With the offense that we have put in this year, if these girls pass to each other better, they will have more points than they did tonight."
On multiple players playing double-figure minutes...
"It's good as long as you keep a balance. You can't take away from the fact that we are trying to get ready for conference play so it would not be good if I didn't give the right players the right minutes with the right group. You have to move people in and out and you have to look at combinations and not just play people because it is a game that you can."
Senior Forward Morghan Medlock:
On the game...
"We had a lot of fun. We've been working really hard since we came back from the break on Sunday. We've been doing a lot of conditioning and getting a lot of post touches in the scrimmages. We are just trying to get back and get familiar with playing with each other like we did before the break."
Freshman Post Brittney Griner:
On approaching the single-season block record...
"It's really not too important. I like to get the block shots so the other team can't score. I really am just playing my game. I don't come out each game and say that I need to achieve this."
