Brittney Griner has been named Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week, as chosen by a media panel. Griner extended her record for career women's basketball weekly honors to 23 and earned her fourth award of the season.

Brittney Griner averaged 28.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in Baylor's two victories over ranked opponents last week. The 6-8 center tallied a game-high 23 points, four rebounds, three blocks, two assists and a steal against No. 25 Iowa State, while going 10-of-20 from the floor. She recorded her second 30-plus point performance with 33 points at No. 17 Kansas while also registering seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Griner logged her 127th career start in the KU game to break Sophia Young's Baylor record of 126.
