No. 7/7 Baylor Hits Road for Big 12 Contest at Kansas...
The seventh-ranked Baylor Lady Bears, 14-2 overall and 4-0 in Big 12 Conference action, put their league-record 44-game regular-season Big 12 Conference win streak and a Big 12-best 53-straight victories overall, including 9-0 in Big 12 Championship play, on the line when they travel to Lawrence, Kan., on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m., in historic Allen Fieldhouse.

The Jayhawks, under the direction of 17th-year head coach Bonnie Henrickson, enter the contest with an 8-9 season record and a 1-4 league mark.

Senior guard Odyssey Sims continues to lead Baylor in scoring at a nation's-best and Big 12-leading 31.1 points per game. The Irving, Texas, native is averaging 4.1 rebounds a contest while dishing out 4.4 assists per game and shooting 49.0 percent from the floor, including .445 from beyond the arc. With 540 career assists, Sims is the program's all-time leader and she also owns BU's career 3-point field goal record with 209 makes.

Freshman Nina Davis (5-11, forward/post) is averaging 14.2 points and a team-leading 7.8 rebounds a game. The Memphis, Tenn., native ranks No. 2 nationally in field goal percentage, hitting an impressive 64.2 (88-137) percent of her shots.

Junior post Sune Agbuke (6-4), along with Davis, is the team's top rebounder with 7.8 an outing. Freshman Khadijiah Cave (6-2 post) manages 6.3 a game while sophomore Kristina Higgins (6-5 post) contributes 5.6 a contest.

Sophomore guard Niya Johnson is the team's top distributor and ranks No. 11 nationally and No. 2 in the Big 12, averaging 6.8 assists an outing while Sims follows with 4.4 a game.

Kansas is led by two double-digit scorers, Chelsea Gardner, a 6-3 junior forward leads the team in both scoring and rebounding at 15.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest, while junior guard (6-1) Asia Boyd manages 12.0 points an outing.

Baylor will return home to host Kansas State on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. The Lady Bears have won 29 straight home games vs. Big 12 foes since a 70-54 loss to Texas, March 7, 2010.
