Sims, a 5-9 freshman guard, scored a career-high-tying 25 points against No. 6/5 Texas A&M to lead all scorers in Baylor's 63-60 win in College Station. The victory gave Baylor sole possession of first place in the league (6-0) and extended its win streak to 16 games. Sims scored 12 of Baylor's final 18 points and with the game tied at 60, sank a short floater in the lane to give BU a 62-60 lead with 26 seconds remaining. She played 38 minutes and also hauled in two rebounds, garnered two steals and doled out an assist. Sims' defense limited her opponent to 1-of-7 from 3-point range and also helped hold the Aggies well below their 3-point shooting percentage as a team. Texas A&M came into the game shooting 34.8 percent from beyond the arch and was held to 22.2 percent (4-18).

Sims raised her season scoring average to 13.9 on the season and averages 17.3 points per game in Big 12 play. She is shooting .531 from the floor and .463 from 3-point range for the season and makes 77.4 percent of her free throws.
