It's February 8, 2007, I want to thank God for giving me the ability and gift to play this game called basketball. Many people take this gift for granted, I don't.
Well, we just came off a big win against Texas Tech, which I heard was very hard to do in Lubbock. Last night was my first time playing at Texas Tech and I'll tell you they have some diehard women's basketball fans. It was so funny during the game. One of the fans told Angela Tisdale that she was too short to play basketball and her arms were too short to try to deflect the ball out of bounds. I promise, I burst out laughing at that during the game.
We are still disappointed about the loss to Nebraska, but they are a good team. I was very disappointed in myself, that was the worst game I have ever played in my whole collegiate career. But hey, good players bounce back and I tried to do that against Texas Tech, even though I don't feel I played very good there either.
Back to Texas Tech. Coach took our phones from us on the trip and had the nerve not to let us have ice cream after our pre-game meal. But, she promised us that if we won that she would let us get ice cream. Guess what, after we won she we got our phones back, but we're still waiting on the ice cream (in her defense it was too late when we left United Spirit Arena to get ice cream). That's okay because to pass some time before the game, we got to go to the mall and we all know that I love to go shopping, I think I am obsessed!
I am happy that our freshman are coming around and playing well, they been working hard in practice and I am so proud of them. Since we are not going on the road for a while, that means we won't be missing any classes. I don't know about the rest of my teammates but I love school. My teammates are going to kill me for saying that because they already call me a teacher's pet, but I love my professors.
I am just glad we're back home to play in front of our dedicated fans that we love. It's a blessing to come play in front of people who love, adore, and support you and that's what we have here at Baylor.
Well, I have to head to practice to get ready for Iowa State.
Love Ya! BMo
