BAYLOR PUTS PERFECT LEAGUE ROAD RECORD ON THE LINE
No. 7/7 Baylor, 19-3 overall, 7-2 in the Big 12 and 4-0 in league road games, will put its unbeaten Big 12 road mark on the line when it travels to Stillwater, Okla., for a Wednesday, Feb. 11, 7:00 p.m. (CT) contest against the Oklahoma State Cowgirls. The contest marks the beginning of Baylor's second round of Big 12 Conference South opponents.

Junior post Danielle Wilson leads the team in both scoring and rebounding at 14.9 points and 9.3 boards a game while senior guard Jessica Morrow ranks second on the team in scoring at 11.3 a contest. Rachel Allison, a senior forward/post is tied for second in rebounding with sophomore guard Melissa Jones at 5.9 a contest and completes Baylor's double-digit scoring trio at 10.1 a contest while Jhasmin Player, a senior guard, isn't far behind at 9.5 a game.

The Cowgirls, 14-7 on the season and 3-5 in conference action, enter the game on a two-game losing streak and have dropped four of their last six games. They own league wins over Colorado, Missouri and Texas Tech and are 1-3 in conference games in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Junior guard Andrea Riley leads the Cowgirls in scoring average with a league-leading 23.7 a game. Junior forward Tegan Cunningham and senior forward Shaunte' Smith each score 10.6 a game. Smith leads the Cowgirls in rebounding at 7.9 followed by senior forward Shyvon Spears' 6.4 a contest.

 

 

A victory would give the Lady Bears their ninth straight 20-win season in head coach Kim Mulkey's nine seasons at the helm and 15th in program history.

WBCA PINK ZONE GAME VS. MISSOURI ON SATURDAY
On Saturday, Feb. 14 at 12:30 p.m., Baylor will host Missouri and the contest will be the Lady Bears' annual WBCA Pink ZoneTM game. All fans are encouraged to wear pink and help bring an awareness to the fight against breast cancer.

- Pink "Rally Towels" to the first 1,000 fans
- 5,500 pink beads to fans
- Zeta Tau Alpha volunteers providing pink ribbons to fans in the concourse
- Pink Lady Bears t-shirts will be thrown to the fans during the game

The WBCA Pink ZoneTM initiative, in its third season, is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

LADY BEAR LEADERS
With 22 games under its belt, Baylor continues to lead the Big 12 Conference in rebounding and is No. 2 nationally in rebounding margin (+11.5). Four players haul down five or more rebounds a contest, junior post Danielle Wilson leads the way with 9.3, senior post Rachel Allison and sophomore guard Melissa Jones follow with 6.2 each, while senior guard Jhasmin Player manages 5.2 an outing. The Lady Bears average 44.6 rebounds a contest while limiting their opponents to just 32.9.

SCOUTING THE COWGIRLS

OSU head coach Kurt Budke is in his fourth season as the Cowgirls' head coach and 16th year as a head coach overall. Budke is 67-47 in four seasons at OSU and 147-63 in seven NCAA Division I campaigns. He is 2-5 versus Baylor, both victories coming during the 2007-08 season.

SERIES RECORD
Baylor and Oklahoma State will meet for the 29th time when the two teams square off on Wednesday night. Baylor leads the series 19-9, including the most recent meeting, a 75-57, Jan. 17, win at Waco. OSU holds a 7-5 lead in games played in Stillwater. The Cowgirls' most recent Stillwater win came on Feb. 5, 2008, 77-67.

Baylor looks to sweep the series for the sixth time overall and for the fifth time in the last six seasons.

Head coach Kim Mulkey owns a 13-4 record against Oklahoma State, including a 5-3 mark in Stillwater.
