Head coach Kim Mulkey and her Lady Bears have their third sellout of the season.
Feb. 16, 2012
WACO, Texas - Saturday's women's basketball matchup between No. 1 Baylor and Texas Tech is sold out, the Baylor Department of Athletics announced Thursday. The game is scheduled to tip at 7:00 p.m. (CST).
The top-ranked and undefeated Lady Bears (26-0) put their 37-game home win streak on the line as they host the Lady Raiders on Saturday. With a win on Saturday, Baylor would clinch at least a share of its first back-to-back titles and third all-time Big 12 regular season championship.
The only remaining tickets for Saturday's game are for Baylor faculty, staff and students, and those will be distributed at the door on game day, just as they are for all home games.
It is the third advance sellout this season as the Lady Bears sold out the Dec. 18, game vs. second-ranked Connecticut and the Feb. 11 vs. No. 15 Texas A&M. Both games drew record crowds of 10,627.
In addition, Waco's KCEN-TV will televise the game live. KCEN morning anchor and former sports director Kris Radcliffe will call the action and veteran television analyst and former Baylor men's basketball coach Jim Haller will provide analysis.
