Four WBB Student-Athletes Named Academic All-Big 12

Makenzie Robertson was one of two, three-time first-team All-Big 12 honorees.

IRVING, Texas - The Big 12 Conference has named 39 student-athletes to the 2014 Academic All-Big 12 Women's Basketball team and four Lady Bears, Sune Agbuke, Mariah Chandler, Chardonae Fuqua' and Makenzie Robertson, were on the list.

Robertson is one of two, three-time Academic All-Big 12 first team honorees. Robertson, Agbuke and Fuqua' were named to the first team while Chandler was a second team selection.

Robertson and Chandler have both received their bachelor's degree from Baylor, Agbuke will graduate in May and Fuqua' is a sophomore.

A total of 24 members make up the first team, while the second team includes 14 honorees.

First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.

To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
