Baylor's women's basketball team finished sixth in the final USA Today Sports Top 25 Women's Basketball Coaches Poll which was released today.

Undefeated national champion UConn finished in the top spot followed by Women's Final Four participants Notre Dame, Stanford and Maryland. Louisville, Baylor, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina and Texas A&M rounded out the poll's top 10.

Baylor is one of just eight programs nationally to win 30 or more games in 2013-14, joining Connecticut, Notre Dame, Stanford, Chattanooga, Louisville, Baylor, Bowling Green and West Virginia. The Lady Bears, at 32-4, posted their fourth straight 30-win season and fifth under head coach Kim Mulkey.

Despite the departure of five seniors in 2013 which accounted for 75 percent of its rebounding, 70.9 percent of its scoring and 61.1 percent of its minutes played, the 2013-14 Lady Bears completed their season with a 32-5 record and the program's fifth trip to the NCAA Championship Elite Eight. The young squad, led by Wade Trophy winner and three-time All-American Odyssey Sims, played the undefeated and eventual national champion UConn Huskies to a closer margin than anyone did all season, losing 66-55.

In addition, Baylor earned its fourth straight Big 12 Conference regular season and postseason tournament crowns.
