Waco, Texas - For the second time in five seasons, Baylor women's basketball has finished among the top 10 nationally in home attendance, tying its best-ever final ranking. The Lady Bears finished No. 8 in NCAA Division I home attendance with an average attendance of 7,209 per game. Baylor set an all-time single-season attendance record this season with 122,550 fans attending 17 home games.

Baylor also finished No. 8 in 2005-06 with 7,717 per game and 100,316 for the season. All told, the Lady Bears have topped the 100,000 fan mark for five straight seasons.

In addition, Baylor was one of just six teams nationally, along with Connecticut, Oklahoma, Iowa State, Notre Dame and Tennessee, to draw more than 200,000 in cumulative attendance for all games - home, road and neutral. Big 12 women's basketball set an NCAA attendance record for the second consecutive year with 1,091,289 fans while leading the nation in attendance in 2009-10 for the 11th straight season.

The Conference reached the one-million mark for the fifth time, bettering last year's record attendance of 1.073,069. The Big 12 remains the only conference to reach the one-million attendance mark.
