  • With the 2008-09 men's and women's basketball seasons set to tip off at Baylor next week, fans still have an opportunity to purchase some of the best-valued tickets in town. A wide range of prices levels are available, including Super Fan tickets starting at just $110 for the Lady Bears and $120 for the Bears.

In addition to the full season ticket options, the Baylor Ticket Office has developed The Weekender package (9 games) and The Sampler (6 games) for the 2008-09 men's and women's seasons. These were developed for fans that cannot make every game, but want the same great seats for each game. Click on the above links for more information.

Both Baylor teams are fresh off NCAA Tournament appearances, marking the first time in school history both squads advanced to the Big Dance in the same season. The BU men earned their first NCAA Tournament bid since 1988, while the Lady Bears have become March Madness regulars under Kim Mulkey's leadership with their fifth straight NCAA bid and seven in the last eight seasons a year ago.

Anticipation in Waco is high for continued success in 2008-09. Big 12 Conference coaches have projected coach Scott Drew's Bears to finish third in the league, their highest preseason selection in the league's 13-year history, while the Lady Bears were voted to finish fourth in the Big 12 and are rated 19th in The Associated Press Top 25 preseason poll.

Baylor will again offer a highly-popular group rate for both the men's and women's 2008-09 seasons. Whether it's a youth group outing, a corporate thank you for a large family reunion, all groups of 15 or more are eligible for a reduced per ticket price as the Bears and Lady Bears try to bring their exciting brands of basketball to as many people as possible. Group ticket rates are available for all but six (men's games vs. Kansas, Texas and Texas A&M; women's games vs. Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M) of the nearly 40 games that will be played in the Ferrell Center this winter. To purchase group tickets, please contact the Baylor Athletic Marketing Office at 254.710.8110.

Single-game tickets for all non-conference games are on-sale now and tickets for the 2008-09 Big 12 Conference contests go on sale Monday, Nov. 17.
