• BU's Nov. 20 game vs. then-No. 2 Notre Dame marked the start of the most difficult regular-season stretch in school history. After defeating the Fighting Irish at home and Yale on Nov. 22, the Lady Bears defeated then-sixth-ranked Tennessee on Sunday, Nov. 27, in Knoxville and have a Dec. 18 home game against second-ranked UConn on the horizon.
• Baylor is averaging a Big 12-leading 52.4 rebounds a contest, hauling down 50 or more seven times.
• The Lady Bears rank No. 1 nationally in scoring offense (89.4), assists per game (21.6), blocked shots per game (8.9), No. 2 in scoring margin (37.5), field goal percentage defense (.285), No. 3 in assist/turnover ratio (1.47) and No. 4 in field goal percentage (.491).
• In individual national statistics, Brittney Griner is No. 1 in blocks per game (5.1), No. 5 in field goal percentage (.628), No. 6 in points per game (23.9) and No. 11 in rebounds (11.0). Odyssey Sims is No. 4 in steals per game (4.4), No. 5 in assists per game (7.1) and No. 39 in scoring (18.8). Senior guard Terran Condrey ranks No. 10 in assist/turnover ratio (3.0).
Brittney Griner has registered 434 career blocked shots and needs 13 more rejections to break Oklahoma's Courtney Paris' Big 12 record of 446.
Brittney Griner ranks No. 8 on BU's career scoring chart with 1,687 points and needs 22 points to move into No. 7.
• Baylor is the only school to have its women's basketball (No. 1), men's basketball (No. 6) and football (No. 12) teams ranked among the AP Top 25.
• The Lady Bears are 46-4 over their last 50 games.
• BU is bidding for its first 9-0 start since 2005-06 and just the sixth such opening in school history.
• Baylor hasn't allowed an opponent to shoot 50 percent from the field in 182 straight games, dating back to March 25, 2006.
• The Lady Bears sport a 27-game home win streak, BU's last home loss came vs. Texas on March 7, 2009, 70-54.
Brittney Griner's 434 career blocks rank her No. 6 on the NCAA Division I career block list, tied with Duke's Alison Bales. Griner needs 13 to pass No. 5 OU's Courtney Paris' 446, while IUPUI's Brooke McAfee sits at No. 4 with 447. St. Mary's (CA) Louella Tomlinson holds the all-time career mark with 663.
• Baylor's Ferrell Center record in regular season, non-conference games under coach Mulkey is 92-1 (.989). During that 12-year span, Baylor's lone Ferrell Center loss came against 12th-ranked Purdue on Nov. 19, 2006, in the Preseason WNIT championship game. Since then, Baylor has won 53 straight non-league home games (including two 2011 NCAA Tournament contests).

Located in Milwaukee, Wis., the Milwaukee Panthers enter the game with a 2-4 record after road wins over Western Illinois (79-66) and Bradley (71-67). Milwaukee's losses came to Wisconsin (68-51), Drake (63-51), Michigan State (70-57) and Western Michigan (69-63).

Sami Tucker, a 5-11 junior guard, leads the team in both scoring (14.3) and rebounding (8.8) while Courtney Lindfors, a 6-4 sophomore center, manages 12.0 a game and Angela Rodriguez, a 5-8 sophomore guard, scores 11.0 a contest.

The Panthers are coached by 16th-year head coach Sandy Botham. Botham is 245-208 (.541) in her 16 years along the Milwaukee sideline and 267-212 in 17 seasons as a head coach.

After playing the Lady Bears, the Panthers will travel up I35 to take on the Oklahoma Sooners on Sunday, Dec. 11.

Baylor is 2-1 vs. Horizon League members. The Lady Bears have posted wins over Illinois-Chicago and Green Bay and lost to Butler. The two victories have come under coach Mulkey. Baylor downed Illinois-Chicago in Honolulu, Hawai'i, on Dec. 8, 2001, 62-43, and defeated Green Bay in the 2011 NCAA Championship Sweet 16 in Dallas' American Airlines Center, 86-76.

Baylor hasn't allowed an opponent to shoot 50 percent from the field in 182 straight games, dating back to March 25, 2006, an 82-63 Sweet 16 loss to eventual national champion Maryland.

In 2010-11, BU held 14 of its 37 opponents to below a .300 field goal percentage.

This season, BU has held its opponents, including three ranked foes, to a .285 field goal percentage.

Baylor ranks No. 2 in NCAA Division I statistics in field goal percentage defense (.285).

With Brittney Griner's 6-8 presence in the paint and her ability to block shots, BU's opponents have increased their 3-point shot attempts since her arrival. In 2008-09, the year before Griner came to Baylor, BU opponents took 570 shots from beyond the arc, in 2009-10 foes took 740 treys and they took 750 last season.

So far this season, BU opponents have taken 154 (19.3 per game) shots beyond the arc.
