Welcome to J.J.'s Journal, a weekly diary by Baylor women's basketball senior guard Jessika Stratton. Each week Jessika will be submitting a new entry, so check back for the latest inside look at the Lady Bears' 2003-04 season.
Last season, Jessika was the only player to start all 35 games for the Lady Bears and led the team by averaging 32.3 minutes per contest. She set the school record for 3-point field goal percentage in a season (.440) as she helped guide the Lady Bears to a 24-11 mark and a runner-up performance in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
Jessika is also an outstanding student, earning first-team Academic All-Big 12 and second-team academic all-district honors as a junior. She has been on the Big 12 Commissioner's honor roll three-straight times, including a perfect 4.0 GPA the spring semester of her sophomore year.
Jessika, a native of Colorado Springs, Colo., will graduate in May with a degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in Spanish.
