Equestrian Falls to No. 2 Auburn

Auburn, Ala. - The No. 7 Equestrian team (6-6) fell to Auburn (14-4), Saturday afternoon at the Auburn Equestrian Center in Auburn.

The Bears got off to a rough start, losing Equitation on the Flats 4-1. Heather Healy earned Baylor's single point with a score of 54.

Auburn continued to widen their lead sweeping Equitation over Fences 5-0. This gave the Tigers a 9-1 lead going into the Western portion of the competition.

Baylor continued to struggle, losing Horsemanship 2-1. Ashley Garza earned a point for the Bears and Lindsay Douglas earned MVP honors.

Baylor ended the competition losing reigning 3-2. Madelyn Mooney's score of 71.5 was enough to earn her MVP honors. Katie Buss also scored for the Bears. Auburn took the match 14-4.

The Bears will next be in action on the road Sunday Feb. 28 at 11:00 a.m. against Georgia.
