EQ Hosts Texas for Hunt Seat Exhibition
Nov. 9, 2017

WACO, Texas – No. 7 Baylor equestrian (2-3, 1-1 Big 12) will face Texas on Friday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in a hunt seat-only exhibition.

The Bears are coming off a well-fought road victory against conference rival TCU on Friday, Nov. 3. When competition score totals came to a 10-10 draw at the end of the meet, raw scores (1413-1367) determined Baylor’s first Big 12 Conference win of the 2017-18 season.

Texas is a hunt seat-only team competing in only Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) events. Friday’s meet will be the first time the Bears and Longhorns have ever faced off in an equestrian event.

Friday’s competition marks the end of the fall calendar for the BU squad, not returning to the show ring until Feb. 2, 2018, to take on Auburn at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
