The No. 6 Baylor equestrian team (7-3) will put its four-match winning streak on the line when it travels to Fort Worth, Texas to take on No. 8 TCU on Feb. 8-9. The match will take place over two days, beginning on Friday in Fort Worth and continue through Saturday at Turning Point Ranch in Springtown.
Friday's section between the two Western squads will begin at approximately 6:00 p.m. at John Justin Arena as part of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. On Saturday, the Hunter Seat teams will go head-to-head beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Turning Point Ranch.
"We are very excited that our sport will get to be in front of a large audience like the Stock Show and Rodeo," head coach Ellen White said. "Big 12 matches are always difficult, especially on the road, so we need to be at our best."
The Bears are coming off a 14-5 win at New Mexico State on Feb. 2, sweeping all four MVP's.
The Horned Frogs and Bears last met on Nov. 18 in Waco, with BU taking the 12-8 victory. The two squads were tied 5-5 after Western, but the Baylor Hunter Seat team's 7-3 win gave it the overall victory.
