WACO, Texas - The No. 2 Baylor equestrian team will play host to No. 8 TCU on Saturday at 10 a.m. resuming Big 12 competition at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
The Bears are 6-2 on the season, coming off a 16-4 victory over Delaware State Saturday. TCU has a record of 5-3 overall this season, and the Horned Frogs are coming off a 7-1 victory over Delaware State Sunday.
"I think we are prepared and ready. It will be good to get back to a familiar opponent, especially one that we lost to," said Baylor head coach Ellen White. "We want to just let our team see what we have come to, how we are stronger now. It is one of our Big 12 meets, and now being ranked No. 2, anyone we lose to just brings down our ranking. We definitely want to win and of course our girls know that too, so they are working really hard."
The last time Baylor competed against TCU was Oct 5. The Bears won 3-2 in flat and 4-1 in fences while also earning three out of four possible MOP honors. However, the Horned Frogs took the win, 11-9 at home.
The meet will be the last home meeting for Baylor before the Big 12 championships March 28-29.
